【Events on Rishiri Island】

June	■Rishiri Island Yuyu Running G(Yuyu Running) This is a race where participants run a 55km lap around Rishiri Island while experiencing its beautiful nature. Approximately 350 people from inside and outside Hokkaido participate every year, and it is becoming a major event in Rishiri. 【Event date】First Sunday 【Inquiries】Executive Committee:01638-2-1370(Within the Board of Education) ■Rishiri Island Shrine Festival Shrine festivals are held in various regions of Rishiri Island. 【Senposhi district】Senposhi Shrine:Late June 【Kutsugata district】Kitami Fuji Shrine Festival:Late June 【Oniwaki district】Kitami Shrine Festival:Late June 【Oshidomari district】Rishirizan Shrine Grand Festival:Early July
August	■Hokkaido Island Festival This is Rishiri Fuji Town largest summer festival, held at two venues: Oshidomari and Oniwaki. The city center becomes a pedestrian precinct and street stalls are lined up. A special stage will host singing shows and other attractions, and a fireworks display will be held at Oshidomari Ferry Terminal. 【Event date】Early August 【Inquiries】Executive Committee:01638-2-1114(Town Hall Commerce, Industry and Tourism Section) ■Rishiri Floating Island Festival This is Rishiri Town's largest summer festival, held at two venues: Kutsugata and Senposhi.
