  • 【Rishiri Fuji Town】Oshidomari area

    It takes 1 hour and 40 minutes by ferry from Wakkanai, the northernmost point of Japan.
    Oshidomari, the center of Rishiri Fuji Town, is the gateway to the sea of Rishiri Island.

  • Cape Peshi(20-minute walk)
    The first thing you see at Oshidomari Port, the gateway to Rishiri Island Island, is
    Cape Peshi stands tall like a large whale nestled in the harbor.
    From the summit, which is 93 meters above sea level, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Mt Rishiri and Rebun.
  • Yuhigaoka Observatory(Approximately 2km)
    Yuhigaoka Observatory is known as a famous spot for viewing evening views.
    The beauty of the sunset-tinged sea and the silhouette of Rebun is
    It's something that's hard to put into words.
  • Fuji Field Park and Ponmoshiri Island(Approximately 2.5 km)
    At Fuji Field Garden, you can see the day lilies in full bloom from June to July.
    Ponmoshiri Island is a small island that is home to a colony of black-tailed gulls, and can be viewed from the Fuji Field Garden Observatory.
  • Himenuma Pond and Himenuma Observatory(Approximately 5km)
    It is a small lake with a circumference of 1km, surrounded by virgin forest.
    There are walking paths around the area that can be explored in about 20 minutes.
    Also, on a clear, windless day you can see the "upside-down Fuji" reflected on the water's surface.
    On the way to Himenuma, you can see Oshidomari Port and Rebun from the Himenuma Observatory.

【Flowers blooming on Rishiri Island】

  • Rishiri Island Island is located at a high latitude of 45 degrees north, so alpine plants that can only be found at altitudes of around 2,000 meters on Honshu can be seen on the plains.
